Continuous operation of the drainage treatment blower leads to an over-aeration state, causing a decrease in the pH level within the purification tank and creating a harsh environment for microbial growth, which reduces purification capacity. To maintain the oxygen level in the purification tank at an appropriate state, intermittent operation of the blower is desirable. In this regard, when controlling based on dissolved oxygen measurement (DO value), it indirectly confirms nitrification by observing the oxygen consumption of microorganisms, which further leads to over-aeration and unnecessary electricity consumption. Therefore, by monitoring the nitrification cycle in real-time using ammonia/nitrite/nitrate sensors, we can quickly detect the completion of nitrification and prevent over-aeration.
